Kindness is Contagious
Bethany Cyphert
1 John 3:18
“Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”
Have you ever admired someone in your life so much that when you see them smile, you smile too? Seeing the joy in their face is enough to make us feel the joy that they feel. Smiling is a way to show joy and happiness and can even cause us to feel joy when we are down. It is just like the joke that says you can’t say “bubbles” without smiling.
Go ahead and try it, we won’t judge……..
Kindness is just as contagious. A joyous action, kind gesture, or encouraging remark could be what sets someone’s entire day in a positive direction. God shows his kindness in an abundance of incredible ways and asks us to show kindness to those around us. Serving one another in hard times and being there for them when they are struggling. We can show kindness to our neighbors, friends, and loved ones by following God’s example of perfect love. We will never be perfect, but we can show love one step at a time. Who knows, maybe if we showed kindness when we were angry, it would act much like saying “bubbles”. You can never be angry when you show kindness.
