Intentional Prayer
Bethany Cyphert
When you ask for wisdom, God will give it to you. You just have to be open to hearing it.
Asking God for wisdom is an easy thing to do, right? The hard part is listening to Him when He has an answer that we don’t like. How often do we sit and listen for His wisdom? Our culture has taught us to be constantly moving. If we are not busy, then we are not doing enough. Somewhere in all the chaos, we lose the ability to rest and sit— we are conditioned to run. Prayer can happen anywhere, because God is everywhere. But intentional prayer to ask Him for wisdom can be drowned out by the noise of our world. Have you set time aside to listen to God’s word?
This Sunday, we will have an intentional time of prayer and worship to ask for wisdom in the coming year. We will pray about global missions and the people who live in those areas. We will pray for God to give hope and guide us in how we can provide relief. We will pray for local missions and for a heart to serve others who are hurting in our community. And we will prayerfully ask for wisdom for our community room.
