Get Lost

Recently, I was blessed with the trip of a lifetime to Colorado. I don’t know if you know anything about mountains, but there is not much signal up there. While we were driving, we got very lost and turned around. We couldn’t remember where to go, and to be honest, it started to cause me a lot of anxiety. I thought we would be lost forever. We managed to make it to a beautiful lake called Lily Lake. We decided to stop because we needed a break from driving, and it looked very peaceful. As we admired the lake, I saw out of the corner of my eye a faint, but beautiful rainbow. 

When I tell you the joy we felt, it was unmatched by anything we had experienced. As we stood there, it grew bolder and darker until it turned into a double rainbow. After almost an hour of being lost in the mountains, seeing this rainbow was so encouraging. God found small and big ways to show us His grace and peace, even when we thought we were lost. His perfect timing brought us to the lake at the perfect time. I am thankful that we got lost, because if we hadn’t, we never would have experienced the rainbow. When we get lost in God, we can find our way to something even more beautiful.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
