Dancing in the Rain

Every time it rains, we tend to grumble about the weather. Especially if the rain is chilly and followed by gloomy skies and muddy ground. I will admit that I do this all the time. I so easily forget that it is the rain that makes the flowers bloom, and the rivers rise. God made the rain to give things life and purpose. If it was sunny all the time, the flowers would simply die. Or if the plants were always green with their regular foliage, we would never feel the excitement of the flowers budding.

Spring is the representation of new life growing out of a hard, cold and dark season. But the warmth always comes. God’s hope is always with you— You just have to ask Him for it. If we place out hope in God, we hope for nothing because He is everything. He is the rain in the spring, the crocus flowers blooming in the frost, and the rainbow in the sky after a storm. We could spend our days together grumbling about the weather, or we could put on a raincoat and dance in the rain. Knowing that God has you in His hands and He will never let you go.

His plans are good, and though we may not understand right now, He will always be there. The rain reminds us that there is always hope in the darkest times. I encourage you to try to take a walk, or even dance, in the rain! You may see life in a different, but unique and life filled way, and hear God calling you to always have hope.
