Christmas Around the World
Christmas
Bethany Cyphert
Every Christmas morning, my family wakes up in our matching PJs to my great-grandma’s cinnamon rolls. It’s a tradition that my family has had for many years. A quiet and loving space for us to reflect on family and truly experience the meaning of Christmas— the love of Jesus. He came down so that each of us will one day be with Him in Heaven.
There are many more Christmas traditions to love when it comes to celebrating together. But have you ever wondered what the rest of the world does? As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, we have a unique opportunity to see how our global partners celebrate the holidays. We have asked some of our friends in Mozambique, India, and Mexico what some of their traditions are. Between decorations and food, there is so much to learn about our global family! Visit our new Outreach hub by Door A to find recipes and see decorations from around the world.
What is your favorite tradition?
